Registration & Requirements

What are the requirements to become a certified dealer? To become a certified dealer, you must provide a valid commercial registration, proof of experience in the luxury watch or designer bag market, and comply with our quality and authentication standards.

How does the certification process work? After submitting your application, we review your documents, past sales activity, and references. This is followed by a personal interview and a formal onboarding agreement to join our partner network.

Authenticity & Security

How does pre-owned.ch ensure product authenticity? All items undergo in-house authentication by certified watchmakers or qualified experts before being listed or sold.

Who is liable in case of counterfeits or disputes? As a partner, you are required to list only genuine items. In case of disputes, our Buyer Protection System applies – including returns and potential account suspension for violations

Sales Process

How do I list products on the platform? You will get access to our Seller Dashboard, where you can easily upload, manage, and analyze your product listings.

Are there any fees for dealers? There is no commission fee for certified dealers. Only a fixed monthly platform fee applies for using our tools and services.

How does payment work? Payments are processed directly through Stripe and transferred to the dealer’s account. pre-owned.ch does not act as a financial intermediary.

What is the difference between a payment and a payout? A payment happens when the transaction's checkout is initiated. This is the moment when the customer adds their credit card information, and their card is charged.

After a payment, the money is held in Stripe's system until the payout happens. A payout is the action of sending the money from the payment gateway (Stripe)'s system to the provider's bank account.

What happens after a payment? After a payment occurs in a transaction using Stripe as the payment processor, Stripe holds the money from the payment before a payout to the provider is triggered.

How the payout triggers depends on the transaction settings in the associated transaction:

Purchase: The payout can be triggered in one of two ways when: The buyer marks the order as received The transaction automatically marks itself as completed 14 days after the provider marks the order as delivered (or shipped).

What happens after a payout is triggered? After a payout is triggered, Stripe will begin the process of transferring the funds to the provider's bank account, which is connected to their payout settings on the marketplace.

It can take Stripe anywhere between 5 to 10 business days to transfer the money to the provider's bank account. Moreover, there may be additional days of standard bank processing time before the balance appears in the provider's bank account statement.

Shipping & Logistics

Who handles the shipping? You can either use our fulfillment service or manage shipping yourself. In both cases, our shipping policy regarding insurance, tracking, and packaging must be followed.

Does pre-owned.ch offer warehousing and logistics services? Yes, upon request, we can manage your inventory and logistics through our Swiss-based fulfillment center.

Reporting & Support

Is there a dealer dashboard? Yes, certified dealers have access to a personalized dashboard with real-time data on views, sales, inventory, and transactions.

What kind of support do I get as a dealer? You will have access to a dedicated account manager and our dealer support team for technical, logistical, or operational questions.

Legal & Returns

How are returns handled? Return policies are defined individually by each dealer. Customers are informed of the return terms at the time of purchase.

What are my responsibilities as a dealer? As a certified dealer, you must comply with our terms & conditions, quality guidelines, authenticity policy, and represent your products truthfully and accurately.
